Basha works as a researcher on project teams to design, develop, and implement federally funded research studies and to plan and develop research-based resources and events to inform the improvement of education systems. As a field researcher, she participates in program implementation research conducting extensive site visits across the region. Her development work includes topical overviews, briefs, articles based on her literature reviews, survey protocols, audit materials, rubrics, and implementation guides. During her graduate training in educational psychology, she focused on the development of verbal learning through the process of ongoing cognitive change.
