Yvonne serves as the manager of EdNW's Equity in Education Systems. She provides leadership to ensure that all projects, external and internal, are infused with an equity lens. Prior to joining Education Northwest, Yvonne worked as a teacher and administrator in state and K-12 systems in Alaska and Washington. Advancing equity and civil rights measures that support students in their educational environment has been a priority of her work. Yvonne earned a bachelor’s degree from Winston-Salem State University, North Carolina; a Master’s in Education from Western Washington University; and an Ed.D. from University of Southern California.

I believe that all students should be given access and opportunities. It really is about opening doors and having options.
