Use the Trait Ball to help students identify and review the key 6+1 Trait® Writing qualities that define strong writing. With the toss of the ball, these fun and interactive activities reinforce the traits of Ideas, Organization, Voice, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, Conventions, and Presentation.

Use the Format Cube to introduce six formats for students to use in their writing. Whether they are writing or assessing directions (how-to writing), summaries, journal entries, letters, stories, or essays, students can learn what good writing looks like, and have fun too!
