This guide to the integration of humanities coursework with career exploration highlights programs of two basic formats: the study of humanities as a way to enrich our work lives and the study of humanities as career fields in their own right. Included are small units, semester-long projects, and other models for schoolwide reform. Descriptions of programs feature stories about students ranging from bringing children’s literature alive for elementary students to working with state officials on land-use policies.
