Training that informs administrators, principals, teacher-leaders and coaches to know what to look for in a trait-based classroom. (1-Day with Scoring)

“A Taste of the Traits” Training that provides a glimpse into what the model is, how it works, along with some of the best practice teaching strategies. (1-Day with Scoring)

Training for middle and high school teams that uses the 6+1 Trait® Writing model for integrating writing across the content areas. The 3 or 4-person teams include science, math, social studies, and either a language arts teacher or administrator.

Education Northwest’s 6+1 Trait® Writing Model of Assessment & Instruction is a powerful framework designed to help all teachers and students use a common language to refer to characteristics of writing as well as to create a common vision of what good writing looks like.

This advanced training requires trait experience and prepares people to conduct their own in-district trait-based workshops. Participants must have previous training in the 6+1 Trait® Writing model.

This service is designed to improve student achievement by providing a process for teachers to integrate instruction and assessment.
