Federal educational research and evaluation policy is being reconsidered to make sure that it meets the needs of state and local education policymakers and practitioners throughout the nation. As the U.S. Department of Education’s chief research officer, Dr. Easton is deeply involved in planning the future of federal support for research and development in education. In his talk, Dr. Easton will discuss how to better connect research, policy, and practice. A brief question and answer period will follow his remarks.
