This publication is designed to increase awareness of the equity issues embedded in operating a charter school, as well as to assist charter school staff in ensuring equitable, high-quality education for all students. The guide discusses seven specific equity challenges facing charter schools, examines key equity issues facing all schools and strategies to address them, provides a summary of relevant equity legislation, and includes a selection of basic resources.
