The 14th Annual NW National Service Symposium took place May 14-15, 2009 in Portland, OR. More than 200 national service participants from Oregon and Washington gathered to share writing, art, and performances that were inspired by the service experience. All entried appeared in the 2009 Stories of Service anthology, and many of the projects are published on the symposium blog.

The symposium is sponsored by a partnership of the Washington Commission for National and Community Service, the Oregon Commission for Voluntary Action and Service, and the Oregon and Washington CNCS state offices.
