Recommendations from the Regional Equity Assistance Centers on Implementation of the Common Core State Standards
An effective education that prepares youth for postsecondary success should not be a privilege reserved for some students; rather, it should be a guarantee for every student. The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) promise just that—a quality education for all, one in which the new standards will be taught by highly-qualified educators. In this article, the 10 regional Equity Assistance Centers give recommendations on implementation of the CCSS in a way that ensures every student is equally well served.
