This advanced training of trainers is designed for literacy coaches, teacher leaders, administrators, and curriculum coordinators wishing to conduct their own in-district trait-based workshops. Participants should have already taken a 6+1 Trait Writing workshop and have used the 6+1 Trait Writing model in the classroom.

Participants will:
- Understand adult learning strategies and how to incorporate them into professional development workshops
- Examine research supporting the 6+1 Trait Writing Model
- Explore curriculum mapping and lesson design
- Discuss ways to provide traits information to families and community members
- Design a trait-writing workshop for colleagues and schools within your district
Format
This workshop typically requires three days and explores the following:
- CONTENT: Day one activities include a review of the 6+1 Trait Writing Model, the research supporting it, and related instructional strategies
