Evaluation of Literacy Initiatives

Evaluation services provide states, districts, and schools with key information about the implementation of their initiative, as well as the student outcomes. Education Northwest's Language & Literacy Unit evaluators specialize in the evaluation of reading projects and ELL instruction. This combines expertise in research methods with knowledge of literacy assessments, programs, and current research on literacy and language acquisition.

What Clients Will Learn

  • The degree to which the initiative has been implemented as planned
  • Attitudes of teachers, administrators, and/or students toward the initiative
  • The impact of the project on student achievement and, if appropriate, on student attitudes, behavior, and/or attendance

Format

The strongest evaluations start as the initiative is being planned and last the duration of the project, but we can also join ongoing projects and assist with data collection and/or analyses.
