Technical Assistance

Need help finding research-based answers to questions about education policies, programs, and practices?

Connections: School to Work is a service of the Education, Career & Community Program at Education Northwest. We provide a wide range of training, technical assistance, professional development, curriculum development and consultation on youth development, community-based learning, and school-to-work transitions.

Education Northwest provides technical assistance on design and implementation of measurement strategies and assessment tools for research and evaluation; data collection protocols and processes; data analysis and interpretation for new or existing data; graphic presentation and reporting of findings.

Education Northwest offers technical assistance for a school or district that provides a comprehensive examination of the experience of English language learners informed by current professional literature and research.

Technical assistance in the design of evaluation sections of grant applications

The National Mentoring Center provides in-depth training and technical assistance to large-scale federal, state, and regional mentoring initiatives. These services are geared towards serving cohorts of funded mentoring sites or the large-scale implementation of mentoring projects by government and private nonprofit funding sources.

Education Northwest offers technical assistance for a school or district that provides a comprehensive review of mathematics teaching and learning informed by current professional literature and research.

The National Mentoring Center at Education Northwest provides comprehensive consultation services for new and existing youth mentoring programs. We can help your mentoring program design effective, research-based services.

The National Mentoring Center (NMC) can design and deliver customized training for mentoring program staff and volunteer mentors. Our trainings and other forms of program assistance combine the skills and expertise of NMC staff teams with the wide-ranging talents of our national network of expert trainers.

The National Mentoring Center can assist mentoring programs of all types in finding, understanding, and applying the research and best practices that support effective programs.

State Outreach Coordinators provide a two-way conduit between each of the five states in our service area and REL Northwest.

Our experienced team helps schools and districts craft a winning strategy for school improvement. We can help you assess high-need areas to target, identify research-based strategies to address them, integrate individual programs into a systemic strategy for improvement, and plan for sustainability.

Schools needing to improve rapidly, including those facing NCLB corrective action or restructuring, benefit from an objective and comprehensive review as a first step to turnaround.

Education Northwest offers professional development for elementary, middle, and high school mathematics coaches and leaders that strengthens mathematical content knowledge and enhances skill and knowledge for providing coaching support.

REL Northwest provides technical assistance to Northwest states or school districts to build their capacity to carry out technical or analytical work.
