Steve Underwood

Steve facilitates the professional learning of educators at the state and local levels for the Northwest Comprehensive Center and REL Northwest. As a former teacher, instructional coach, and state education agency leader, he has extensive experience in improving school and district systems. Steve holds a doctorate of education in curriculum and instruction from Boise State University, where he focused on systemic improvement for districts and schools.

I believe that every child deserves an excellent education, but schools face very complicated challenges in meeting the needs of all learners. What I love about working at Education Northwest is that I have the privilege of helping educators in our region improve what they do in order to better serve their kids.
