Join literacy leaders from several states for a day of collaboration, learning, and sharing

At this event, you'll have the chance to:

  • Make connections across and outside the agency that will keep propelling your state’s literacy efforts
  • Examine the current state or use of your state’s literacy plan and its connection to the Every Student Succeeds Act
  • Learn more about the current research on effective literacy state support

Guest Speaker: Dr. Timothy Shanahan

Dr. Shanahan is a distinguished professor emeritus of urban education and founding director of the Center for Literacy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has received a presidential appointment to serve on the Advisory Board of the National Institute for Literacy and has been inducted into the Reading Hall of Fame.

This event is for state education agency teams from Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.
