Oregon School and District Improvement Network

OSDIN LogoThe Oregon School and District Improvement Network is part of the statewide system of support for schools and districts in need of improvement. The network provides school support coaches, district support coaches, and five regional coordinators to help schools and districts identify evidence-based practices that can support their efforts to improve student performance and to close persistent achievement gaps. The coaches and coordinators are outstanding educators who are carefully matched with each school. Through the network model, schools and districts receive ongoing, site-based, high-quality professional development designed to:

  • Help districts, principals, leadership teams, and teachers respond to the needs of students and student groups who are not making adequate progress
  • Provide tools and human capital that address the needs in the state’s lowest-performing schools
  • Ensure that all efforts are aligned to other Oregon Department of Education initiatives in place throughout the state

The Oregon School and District Improvement Network creates a professional learning community of educators who combine their knowledge and expertise to help each school find creative, site-appropriate, and evidence-based solutions for improving student performance.
