Set in a variety of locations, our Institutes are geared towards individuals from different school districts. The size of each institute is limited, so it is imperative that you are on the roster before you incur any non-refundable travel expenses.

Workshops are our most popular form of training. We come to your school district and share techniques, strategies and a bushel full of best practices and resources with your staff. You can choose from a range of workshop topics or mix and match to fit your own training needs!

6+1 Trait® Writing 1-Day Overview Workshop for Administrators

Training that informs administrators, principals, teacher-leaders and coaches to know what to look for in a trait-based classroom. (1-Day with Scoring)
6+1 Trait® Writing 1-Day Overview Workshop for Teachers

“A Taste of the Traits” Training that provides a glimpse into what the model is, how it works, along with some of the best practice teaching strategies. (1-Day with Scoring)
6+1 Trait® Writing Across Language and Culture Workshop

This training combines the learning of the 6+1 Trait® Writing Introduction workshop with a focus on how to teach writing for our ELL and Multicultural populations.
6+1 Trait® Writing Across the Content Workshop and Institute for Teams of Teachers - Grades 6-12

Training for middle and high school teams that uses the 6+1 Trait® Writing model for integrating writing across the content areas. The 3 or 4-person teams include science, math, social studies, and either a language arts teacher or administrator.
6+1 Trait® Writing Introductory Workshop

Education Northwest’s 6+1 Trait® Writing Model of Assessment & Instruction is a powerful framework designed to help all teachers and students use a common language to refer to characteristics of writing as well as to create a common vision of what good writing looks like.
6+1 Trait® Writing Training of Trainers

Advanced training requires trait experience and prepares people to conduct their own in-district trait-based workshops. Participants must have previous training in the 6+1 Trait® Writing model.
