Alyssa has supported communications and outreach efforts for a diverse range of education nonprofits. She believes strongly in the power of language and storytelling to inspire meaningful change in pursuit of education justice. Alyssa studied English and Spanish literature at Loyola University Chicago, nonprofit management at the University of Oregon, and critical theory and organizing for education justice at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
For me, access to quality public education sparked a lifelong love of learning. We must offer the same opportunity to all students so that they can learn how to think critically, creatively, and compassionately about our world.
