Nicky Martin

(she, her, hers)

Director, Learning Design & Development

Nicky is committed to designing and delivering relevant and engaging professional learning experiences for adults of all backgrounds. She enjoys the challenge of translating complex information into accessible and meaningful training content that moves learners toward positive change. She especially values working with and learning from clients and solving challenges together. As a child of immigrants and daughter of an educator, she has seen firsthand the powerful role that access to equitable education can play in one’s life.

Nicky leads a team of instructional designers and multimedia developers who create customized virtual, in-person, and blended training and professional development for adult learners. Since joining Education Northwest in 2000, she has directed national training and technical assistance projects funded by AmeriCorps, the U.S. Department of Education, and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Before joining Education Northwest, she worked with immigrant and refugee youth and adults in both community-based and higher education settings.
