Julie provides evaluation, training, and technical assistance services for diverse youth-development and education initiatives, with a particular emphasis on expanded learning time and systems change. In addition to two decades of experience in the nonprofit sector, Julie earned an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in youth, organization, and community development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she studied youth-adult partnership. Julie led a cross-state evaluation of REL Northwest research alliances and conducted evaluations with several collective impact partnerships, including the Road Map Project. An experienced youth-development researcher and trainer, Julie’s current projects include strengthening out-of-school time systems, evaluating the impact of a college-preparation program, and promoting socio-emotional learning and development.
