OEA's 2014 Summer Leadership Conference
OEA’s 2014 Summer Leadership Conference will build power to transform public education in Oregon through dynamic trainings that focus on our Mission, Vision and Core Values. OEA member participants will have the opportunity to choose from seven distinct tracks plus an assortment of workshops to further enhance their training opportunities. These learning opportunities will help build leadership skills that will engage and build collective power among members and within our local communities.

Rethinking Student Discipline

Each and every Oregon student deserves a safe and culturally responsive school. Creating and utilizing equitable discipline practices which allow each student access to quality classroom instruction and educational opportunities is critical. Learn ways you can take leadership in reducing exclusionary practices and eliminating discipline disparities through research-based practices, preventative discipline, and supports for all educators in establishing the culturally responsive and inclusive learning environments every student needs and deserves.
