Ashlie provides research, evaluation, and strategic planning expertise to her work in collaborative adult learning; science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programming; and project based learning (PBL). Recent projects include mixed-methods evaluations of STEM programming, research on how educator PBL knowledge diffuses through social networks, and strategic planning for STEM and career education programs. Prior to joining Education Northwest, Ashlie was a National Science Foundation environmental policy fellow while earning her Ph.D. at Portland State University.
Part of equity, to me, is ensuring that research and evaluation do not occur in a bubble. I support Education Northwest’s efforts to ensure that knowledge is produced and communicated in collaborative, accessible and actionable ways.
