We provide customized support to optimize the professional development of career and technical education teachers and to increase alignment between CTE courses and core curriculum. We also offer strategies such as teacher externships and professional learning communities to build the knowledge and skills of CTE teachers, which ultimately benefits students.
Our team of evaluators and researchers works closely with clients across K–12 and postsecondary education to study a variety of areas, programs, and initiatives. This includes, dual credit, and other ways students earn college credit in high school, developmental education, supporting English learners, and more. Our work uses advanced methods to combine data from multiple data sources and understand who participates in these opportunities and their outcomes.
Early Warning Systems
Early warning systems look beyond test scores and report cards to provide indicators that help predict whether students are on track for graduation. We provide technical assistance and customized training on every stage of EWS implementation, from identifying accurate indicators to developing useful reports, mapping interventions in response to student needs, and measuring student progress.
Programs that provide students the opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school have a positive effect on both high school graduation and postsecondary enrollment rates. Education Northwest can help support the collaboration and alignment between K–12 and higher education systems that is necessary for the success of early-college options, such as dual and accelerated credit.
