The California Reconnect initiative supports adult learners that have some college but no credential in returning to complete their education through personalized coaching and proactive outreach. Since launching in 2023, California Reconnect has contacted over 14,000 former students, resulting in a 13 percent reenrollment rate among the initiative's first cohort—more than six times the national average. Early findings show the model’s promise in reducing barriers, rebuilding student confidence, and helping institutions re-engage learners at scale.
