June 23, 25, and 30
1 pm PDT/4 pm EDT
Sessions are 30 minutes, followed by a 15-min Q&A.
Join us for a three-part virtual workshop on how to teach 6+1 Trait® Writing on June 23, 25, and 30 at 1 pm Pacific Daylight Time/4 pm Eastern Daylight Time.
In this series, an expert trainer will model the activities involved in teaching three traits. Specifically, while you observe, she will conduct each lesson and offer insights about her choices. You will receive PowerPoint slides, a teacher's guide (including a script), and student handouts for immediate online or classroom use, as well as a recording of each session. Education Northwest designed this workshop in response to teachers who asked for more guidance and tools to help them implement 6+1 Trait Writing. Even if you or your teachers have been trained before, you will benefit from this highly practical workshop.
By the end of the series, participants will:
- Know how to design a set of lessons based on three traits
- Be able to deliver three units using our slides and handouts
